Photo Rejuvenation

Let's face it, we all want more beautiful skin. As we age we can develop fine lines, uneven pigmentation (usually brown or red), and more dullness on our skin. Photorejuvenation, also known as a photo facial, can help all these issues. Skin will look more radiant, and beautiful.

That is why our clinic in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada offers Photo Facial Rejuvenation, a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that gets rid of these eyesores. At Wellsprings Medical, only the best light based systems are used since your safety and satisfaction is our number one priority.

Two laser and pulsed light devices are available for the photorejuvenation procedure: The Sciton Profile™ featuring Broadband Light (BBL™) technology and The StarLux® 500 fitted with the The LuxG™ handpiece.

The photo rejuvenation procedure at Wellsprings Medical utilizes the power of pulsed light to gently heat the upper layers of the skin. These pulses of light are emitted in short and gentle bursts at a specific wavelength, which helps to ablate unwanted layers of skin. Doing so also stimulates cells in the target areas, which is necessary for smooth and youthful looking skin.

Procedures take up to an hour, depending on the extent of the problem to be corrected and the number of areas requiring treatment.

Taking place at the state-of-the-art facilities of Wellsprings Medical, photo rejuvenation can target the face, arms, hands, and chest to remove age and sun spots, superficial blemishes, some scars, and the presence of fine lines and wrinkles. Special eye protection is worn during the procedure. A specially designed cooling device is used, therefore patients normally feel only a slight tingling or biting sensation during each pulse of light. Most patients find photo rejuvenation fairly painless. A numbing cream may be applied to reduce discomfort.

A series of procedures can be scheduled for those who would like to maintain or improve results. Some patients notice a considerable improvement after a single photofacial procedure.
